The Chosen Ones

Why do Christians believe that Jews are the chosen ones? They were chosen for certain things to happen to them and through them, but they are not chosen for the world to turn a blind eye to whatever their government decides to do, regardless of how they justify it. Creation / Creator loves all that has been created.  If you think God chose the Jews so we would treat them as a special people, then you missed the point. The Jews were small in number, were enslaved and were rebellious. They were the least likely group of people to be chosen by anyone. THAT is the lesson. That's the point. The least likely to be chosen - were chosen.  God / Creation / The universe does not love them more than any other groups of people. Their land is not holier than any other land.
